On May 11th 2018, MIPAD released the 2018 Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) global 100 list to recognize the positive contributions made by people of African descent, worldwide, across 4 categories; Politics & Governance, Business & Entrepreneurship, Media & Culture, Humanitarian & Religious.

MIPAD is a unique global list that identifies, in total, 200 outstanding individuals under 40, with 100 inside Africa, 100 outside Africa in the Diaspora. The mission with MIPAD is to build a progressive global network of civil society actors to join together and support the implementation of the International Decade for People of African Descent, 2015 – 2024, as proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 68/237.

Evelyn, was named as one of the honorees in the Business and Entrepreneurship category representing Vouch Digital, a technology start-up she founded to address fraud and corruption marred in the distribution sector.

There will be a Recognition Week in honor of the ‘MIPAD Class of 2018’ slated for September 28th – Oct 3rd, 2018 in New York City, following the opening of the 73rd UN General Assembly.

We are beyond thrilled for what this recognition means to not only our Founder but the entire company at large. The recognition will allow us to continue to build meaningful platforms that impact the distribution sector locally in Uganda and beyond.

Hearty congratulations to Evelyn for this well-deserved recognition.
